Application process

The process for Home loan applications can often be very stressful without the guidance of an experienced and reliable mortgage broker. Below is a simplified step-by-step guide of the application process.


Once you submit your enquiry to Active Mortgage & Finance, our most experienced consultant will contact you to set the time for either a face to face meeting or via other media to discuss your needs in further detail.


If you wish to talk to one of our home loan consultants, they will arrange a time for a consultation that suits you, where they will assess your financial situation and get a better insight into your needs for a home loan. They will inform you in advance of all the necessary documentation to bring along, and after the meeting they will go about submitting a loan application to your ideal lender.

Conditional Approval

Once your consultant has lodged your application, it is up to the lender to approve or reject your loan. If approved, your loan will be of Conditional status and then the client will have license to look around for the suitable property. But, if the client has already found the property then the lender may require a valuation report and funds to complete the process.

Formal Approval

Once all the requirements of the conditional approval have been met, our consultant will contact you to let you know your loan has been formally approved. This generally only takes a couple of days


After the formal approval, we request for the pricing and the split of the loan as per the client’s desires. The lender will send you (or your broker if preferred) a copy of your mortgage documents outlining the details of your loan to be reviewed, signed and returned to the lender within five days.


After your documents have been received by the lender, they will contact our consultant to arrange a time for settlement. At this point, you will officially be granted your home loan.

We will do a free valuation of your existing or of potential property free of charge. Please enter your details and property information. Active Mortgage & Finance will send you a desktop valuation report within a business day.
